We have a range of bedrooms to suit the varying needs of our residents, including en-suites and some that are large enough for couples as needs arise. Each resident is encouraged when first coming into Parkside to furnish their room with their own furniture in addition to the wardrobe provided - typically a bed, armchair and perhaps a small table or chest of drawers and to personalise the room with a few ornaments, photos or other similar items. Although many residents enjoy the company of others, some choose to spend the greater part of each day in their own room listening to the radio, watching television, reading or enjoying some other past-time.
Parkside is fully accessible being well provided with a lift and stair-lifts. Additionally many of our bedrooms are on the ground floor.
We have several large communal areas where residents can meet for a chat, perhaps watch a television programme and enjoy the range of activities that we provide throughout each week. There are two lounges overlooking the road at the front - one with a television and the other with a piano. There is also a large heated conservatory overlooking the enclosed garden to the rear which is mainly laid to lawn with flowerbeds with a summerhouse for residents to use in warmer weather.
