Activities

Parkside benefits from a rich and varied social programme. We provide within the home: quizzes, organised board game sessions, services of Christian worship, externally run keep fit sessions, talks and other occasional live entertainment.  We also provide occasional escorted outings in Parkside's own minibus.  In the past these have included a garden party excursion, a day out at the seaside, a countryside drive and a tour of local Christmas lights.  A number of our residents like to attend services each week and other events at nearby Romford Baptist Church and we provide transport for this too.  Whilst all are encouraged to engage in some way with these activities, residents are free to participate in these as they choose.

Within the home, we provide three main meals each day within the communal dining room.  Residents are able to choose from a well-balanced and varied menu.  Drinks are provided at various times throughout the day both within the communal areas and to those residents who might be sitting in their rooms.
