Care Offered

Parkside offers a warm and friendly home-from-home. We specialise in offering accommodation for adults over 65 years of age, who require personal care.

Every resident is allocated a keyworker, and our care leaders take responsibility for the day-to-day care of each resident. We encourage independence and individualised person-centred care.

We work closely with the people who matter to each resident, family and friends – and health and social care professionals (as applicable) - to ensure that the care we give is always to a high standard, and in the resident’s best interest. Twice a year families and friends of residents are invited to meetings where they are informed of any new developments and can raise any issues, or ask questions about the running of the home.

Parkside also ensures that all residents have regular dental, sight and foot care check-ups with professionals who visit the home. Referrals are made to specialists (when necessary) to ensure residents receive timely and appropriate healthcare treatment.

Our care team have a good and respectful relationship with our residents. We implement daily handover meetings between shifts to discuss resident’s care needs and any concerns.

Our team are knowledgeable about the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). Our team are also trained in emergency procedures such as First Aid. If it is the desire of the resident to remain at Parkside at the end of their life, we will work closely with the local GP, District Nurses and Hospice Nurses to facilitate this. We are not registered to give nursing care ourselves, but we are working towards Gold Standard Framework accreditation.
