The key to providing this high standard of care is in the selection, training and motivation of all staff – and this is something to which we pay a great deal of attention.

Parkside benefits from being staffed from a pool of about 25 carers – a mixture of full time, part time and bank staff. Our staff are trained to a high standard meeting all regulatory requirements.

We also have volunteers, who regularly come in to the home to help in a wide variety of ways such as serving mid-morning drinks, talking and playing games with the residents, helping in the garden and running social events.

We interview all prospective volunteers to ensure those who do help are well matched to the home’s ethos and our residents’ needs.

We maintain full DBS checks on the whole team, both paid staff and volunteers.
