Rooms and facilities
Bedrooms:
Parkside has 32 bedrooms, the majority of which have en-suite wash rooms. We are committed to making our care home feel like your home and therefore residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture, curtains, photos and bed linen.
Bathrooms:
We have excellent bathroom and shower facilities to ensure we can meet the needs of our residents, these include a bariatric shower wheelchair and seat.
Garden Lounge:
The garden room is a large, light and airy room which looks out on to the beautiful garden; there are three large televisions with internet access and hearing loop for those who are hard of hearing. There are also speakers in the ceiling so that the TV volume does not need to interfere with residents’ opportunity for conversation. A piano is situated in the room for services and to enable residents to have a sing-a-long.
Piano Lounge:
This is a large room at the front of the house, which gives great views of the street scene; there is a TV and piano located in this space for residents’ use.
Dining Room:
Our modern and homely dining room is situated next to our kitchen area, from which fresh food is cooked and served on a daily basis.
Hairdresser:
At Parkside we have our own in-house hairdressing salon, which is ideal for pampering and encouraging independence. As part of our activities programme, on occasions we also offer manicure sessions.
