Meet the home's Chaplain
Parkside is owned by Romford Baptist Church and Vikki is the minister for the older generation.
Vikki is a regular visitor to the home where she often takes the Monday morning service and is usually around for a period of time on a Wednesday. She is also always happy to be asked to visit outside of these times.
Many residents, whether of faith or not, are happy for a prayer to be offered or know that they are being upheld in prayer by her.
Vikki is easy to recognise as she will normally be wearing a pink clerical shirt and hat when she visits Parkside. The work she does as a chaplain is also available to the families of the residents as well as the staff.
